Welcome Place - Temporary Accommodations

SERVICES PROVIDED BY THE DEPARTMENT INCLUDE:


  • Safe, affordable (low-income) accommodations for newcomers*
  • For stays up to six months
  • Units come with basic furniture, linens, and cookware
  • Housing fees include utilities, Wi-Fi, laundry, and local telephone calls
  • Seamless access to onsite settlement services and life skills training

*Eligibility requirements for our temporary accommodations


  • Newcomers with a refugee background, including:
  • Refugee claimants
  • Protected persons
  • Resettled refugees - Government Assisted Refugees (GARs) and Blended Visa Office Referred (BVORs) are considered on a case-by-case basis depending on vulnerability and availability of units.
